The Facade of Beauty

Good day everyone! This blog is about my experiences in Lancaster New City Cavite. I've lived here for two years and I've experienced some pretty shocking stuff.

Well, first and foremost, Lancaster New City Cavite is a beautiful place to live in. There aren't any thrash to be seen on the sides of the roads. The buildings and infrastructure look brand new and there's always new buildings being built.

There are several malls at the center, along with a grocery store. There is also an easily accessible church with frequent masses. Lancaster also has a large swimming pool in its clubhouse. Furthermore, Lancaster's beauty is enhanced at night; looking like a foreign urban city. Lancaster itself is like a park, it has tons of trees and jogging feels great.

However, due to the large scale of Lancaster, it is difficult to travel without your own personal car. It is exhausting to wait for public transportation and waiting for public transportation consumes a lot of time. Everyday I'd see people sitting on road curbs outside their subdivisions waiting for public transport. Not to mention, Lancaster is far from main roads. Not only is it hard to travel within Lancaster, it is hard to travel out of Lancaster. The public transports are simply unreliable when it comes to time, and everyday would make you wish to be lucky enough to find a public transport early.

The houses in Lancaster look great. The walls look tough and tall, and guards patrol frequently. Seems like a really good community to live in when you have a car right? Did I forget to mention the poor quality of water that comes out of the taps? Without good filter, you'd be bathing in sticky, yellowish liquid. But wait, there's more! Blackouts are common in Lancaster. When it rains, expect a blackout. But hey, at least you can still visit the malls and eat their lavish meals. The malls are unaffected due to Lancaster's backup generator.

The houses themselves look nice but they're weak. During a typhoon, I heard that someone's roof tore off! My roof didn't though. Also expect pipes to leak, and doors to crack. I think you'd have to renovate everything in the house to make sure nothing goes breaks in the future.

Overall, Lancaster is beautiful, it has vigilant guards and great facilities. But the housing is just pathetic. And the blackouts, unreliable public transportation, and poor water quality would irritate even the most optimistic person.
